Dimaggio

I don’t remember from whom I first heard this joke, but I referenced it in my book, Boss Lessons, and needed a place to store it.

A man takes his dog, to a talent scout looking for work.
“What can he do?” the talent scout asks.
“He talks,” says the man.
“Alright, let’s hear him say something,” the talent scout says.
“What’s on top of a house?” the man asks. “Roof,” the dog says.
“What’s on the side of a tree?” the man asks. “Bark,” the dog says.
“And who’s the greatest baseball player of all time?”
“Ruth,” the dog says.
“Alright, get out,” the talent scout says. “You’ve had your fun now beat it.”
The man and his dog are shown the door and look at each other on the sidewalk. “Well?” the dog asks. “Do you think I should have said Dimaggio?”
